Wazito FC president Ricardo Badoer is giving no chances ahead of their Kenyan Premier League match against Western Stima.
The Dubai-based business tycoon strongly believes that his side will beat their opponents on Saturday at Moi Stadium, Kisumu, in order to pick their ‘perceived’ position in the league as ‘the wealthiest and strongest’ club in the country, so far.
“I am all ready with cigar and beer,” he tweeted one hour before kick-off, urging the club’s fans who won’t make it to the pitch to watch the match online. “Game will be live and free on MadgoatTv. See you 3 PM,” he said.
Wazito signed the highest number of players in the pre-season transfer window, and all eyes are alert to see how they can perform in the league. They registered a dull draw against Nzoia Sugar in the league opener-before the international break.
Head coach Fred Ambani had picked his best squad for the day’s task. The match-day team include; Kevin Omondi, Karim Nizigiyimana, Abouba Sibomana, Bernard Oginga, Johnston Omurwa, Joshua Nyatini, Amos Asembeka, Paul Acqua, Elvis Rupia, Ali Hassan and Victor Ndinya.
On the bench were; Bixente Otieno, Musa Masika, Teddy Osok, Dan Odhiambo, Lyod Wahome, Derrick Otanga and Derrick Onyango.
We make seven changes from the squad that started against Nzoia.
Sibomana and Bernard replace Lloyd and Munene in defense. Nyatini and Ali start in midfield while Brian and Oduor exit. Ndinya, Rupia and Acqua replace Waithira, Odongo and Derrick in attack#Wazito4Life #WESWA pic.twitter.com/82ojFpFcrc
