Popular Youtubers Shiko and Rama of The Green Calabash shocked Kenyans when they released their home birth video for the world. The young couple and parents welcomed their third child Tawi through an unassisted water birth in their home, something unpopular with today’s moms in the country.
Her husband was super helpful throughout the process, massaging her, holding her hand and taking care of her. The two were waiting for their midwife to arrive when the baby arrived. He was instrumental in that he cut the newborn’s cord.
The whole process went on seamlessly and rather peacefully that it surprised many. Even for a man to watch the birth, let alone help, has restored many women’s belief in their men. Watch the full video below;

Shiko and Rama have shown me another side of childbirth. One that I never knew.
They have shown me that it may be necessary for me to change way I view the 'pain' during child birth in the labor process itself @ShikoNguru and @RamzZy_ are the best Kenyan Youtubers!!— Gina Kung'u (@Miss_Gina_Kungu) August 21, 2019
I respect this Shiko chic more because she let the baby out through the birth canal unlike some of you who are quick to dismiss this method coz you want to remain manyangas. And the husband was there to cut the umbilical cord. One of the divine things about womanhood is birthing. pic.twitter.com/uECkmjXAta

Shiko and Rama really did that. That was beautiful to watch. Knowing the crybaby that I am , I don't know if I'd survive child birth tbh.

But @ShikoNguru and @RamzZy_ the composure y'all have during this video is hella gangster and the fact that Shiko is not on pain meds, kudos๐๐ฝ

Every single thing about that birth video is mind blowing – the intimacy, the calm… that Shiko had worked out in the morning, that Rama knew that the midwife would be late and still kept his cool… amazing!!
