Arsenal fans were treated to a feast in the summer transfer window. The Gunners signed 5 new players in Dani Ceballos, William Saliba, Keiran Tierney, David Luiz and broke their transfer record to sign Ivory Coast winger Nicholas Pepe for 72 million pounds from French side Lille.

The positivity from the transfer market has so far been transmitted on the pitch as Unai Emery’s team won the first two Premier League matches of the season, the first time they have done so in 10 years!

And now Josh Kroenke, son to the club’s owner Stan Kroenke has promised more of the same in the January transfer window.

“The transfer market is an evolving, living, breathing thing. We identified key targets, worked on those deals and over time we were able to execute them. As for January, I don’t want to get ahead of ourselves. We’ve got to evaluate some things in the short term and figure out where we might need to address going forward, so when January does roll around we’re going to be proactive again,” the 39-year-old told the British media.

This should serve as music to the fans’ ears after years of failing in the transfer market which led to the team’s quality taking a hit and as a result so did the performances. The club will play in the less lucrative Europa League for the third season in a row and the main aim for this season is earning qualification for the Champions League.
