President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday caused excitement on social media after he revealed his relative from Jamaica who is a reason as to why he loves the country.
Uhuru revealed the details in a speech he presented during his historic state visit whose aim is to explore opportunities for enhanced bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the speech, Uhuru argued that Jamaicans are all over the world including in Kenya. He further claimed that his brother’s wife mother comes from Jamaica has chosen to settle in Kenya.
“Prime Minister you asked whether there is a Jamaican diaspora in Kenya now that they are all over the world. I want to assure you that we have many of them. In fact, even my wife’s brother’s mother is a Jamaican. She, however, stays in Kenya. That’s how we closely relate with this country,” said Uhuru.
His statement has now become a subject of discussion on social media with netizens making fun of it. Majority of Kenyans, however, are yet to understand what the president meant with ‘my wife’s brother’s mother’ .
Some even went further to insinuate that the president was high on some ‘holy Jamaican herb’ while making the speech.
Here are the hilarious reactions from Kenyans;
You do not automatically assume that someone is high on weed just because they say that they have relatives in Jamaica, but if they reffer to their mother in law as ‘my wife’s brother’s mother, then,it’s a no brainier!
