The transfer summer is winding down and clubs are in their last-minute rush to complete their signings. Arsenal announced their record signing Nicolas Pepe on Thursday. Manchester United are in serious pursuit of Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes, Leicester’s Harry Maguire and Juventus want out star Paulo Dybala. This is just to mention but a few busy clubs this summer.
However, Liverpool seems to be unmoved by the running time, which is what prompted fans to deliberate on their current squad to understand if they really do not need new players.
A section of fans realizes that the Reds are well-equipped with a good team and they are actually good to go but some have spotted several gaps that need to be filled.
Here are some of the reactions;
When put like this, I think it becomes quite clear that Liverpool have enough players. There will be no reason for Klopp to make 11 changes.
So, again, is the issue the quality of the players they have in that second XI, or do they still, genuinely need more depth? https://t.co/cnsxgO2xg1

As squads go it’s not deep enough considering the amount of potential games this season… Whilst there’s not much flair in the midfield it’s pretty flexible.. full back cover from Milner, even Fab. Lallana at 6 would be a concern.

If they reach the latter stages of the cups, there will be considerably more games; but if they don’t, then it’s an extra 4 (max). 2 of those will be done before the end of September.
I can understand the concern, but worries about injuries can’t justify extra back-up players.

If that second XI ever fully starts for any reason I’d prob vomit and tbh it probably will. In our first FA cup match 😂

City’s second 11 would easily get top 4 though, so including a couple into their first 11 doesn’t harm their challenge remotely compared to ours. That’s the issues we have with depth

I would just prefer a higher quality backup in the forward line, and maybe left back

The concern about the depth is 4 of those can be classed as injury prone.
— B (@IdolNaby) August 2, 2019
That’s true, but whether the player getting unlucky that’d still be something if it is sustained over a period of time, or shows that they fo have some sort of natural weakness, e.g Owen’s hamstrings were something that ran in his family.

One more reliable goal scorer and technical attacker. City had sane and mahrez on the bench . We need someone like that. Depay , Werner are some cheaper examples

We don’t necessarily need 11 backup if given that Klopp has successfully get players to cover several positions. But some of the backups could be better. Having said that we can’t say no to giving chance to youths.

Some will include J. Gomez. & the unexpected we don't pray for.

I’m all for this. Hoever will be as ready as Trent was when he made his debut. Sure he’ll make mistake but that’s how you learn to be better. I’ll probably put Brewster ahead of Wilson

Klopp has already signed a 17-year-old Sepp Van Den Berg from PEC Zwolle for a confirmed fee of £1.3m, which could potentially rise up to £4.4m if all agreed clauses are activated.
