Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko on Thursday stunned Kenyans after he delightedly shared a trait that he shares with Tanzanian President Pombe Maghufuli.
On his Facebook page, the flamboyant county boss shared an incidence where Magufuli talked to Uhuru on speakerphone in a room full of people something that he had done before.
Sonko had, back in 2014, called the president in public to stop the demolition of some 25 houses in South B area, Nairobi County.
In efforts to unite Tanzania and Kenya, Magufuli, on Wednesday, called President Uhuru Kenyatta after Foreign Affairs CS, Monica Juma, successfully delivered a gold consignment on his behalf.
The conversation between the two leaders was filled with light moments where they cracked one joke after another, but still maintained the agenda of helping citizens of the two countries.
Uhuru assured his counterpart of the continued cordial relationship that would help improve the economies of the two countries.
Excited by Magufuli’s move, Sonko shared a video clip of their conversation and captioned it with a message to insinuate that Magufuli and himself possessed similar traits.
