Embattled Treasury CS Henry Rotich’s sister Ednah Rotich features prominently in dubious deals in three counties of Nandi, Uasin Gishu and Elgeiyo-Marakwet. Rotich is fighting to clear his name over the multi-billion Arror and Kimwaror Dams Scandal. On Tuesday, he was released on a sh15 million cash bail after being charged with corruption-related crimes.
We have established that Ednah is using her brother’s influence in the corridors of power ever since Jubilee came in 2013, her events firm Rose and Rosses has won lucrative events organisation tenders.
To be awarded the tenders, she claims that she would help the counties finance departments to be given priority by the National Treasury to help her firm’s invoices paid using the influence of the brother.

She, thus, has monopolised government departments and parastatals and enjoys a monopoly in all events tender awards. Her firm is accused of evading taxes. An interrogation of records at the Kenya Revenue Authority establishes that her firm has been evading taxes.
On her company’s website, she has listed Central Bank of Kenya, Uasin Gishu County Government, Turkana County Government as some of the Sponsors and Partners of the Rose N’ Roses Events Solution.
Last year in August, she organized an event in Lodwar courtesy of Governor Josphat Nanok where he parted with Shs80million for a two-day cultural festival.
