Imagine a situation where you planned a mums trip early last year, everything was hanky dory on the road until one of your mums broke down, broke into tears of joy to be exact, she finally got to take a break from her hectic life, managing a busy household, four hyperactive kids and a husband in transit between countries. Then when this trip was confirmed the countdown began, funny enough she tolerated and persisted until D-Day. It was rather surprising coming from a mother who seemed to have had everything together and very comfortable with her life. Your mum hormones took full effect and yes we cried it out, laughed it off and let loose in the car as we pumped up the volume.
Can we just say that the liquor was on point, the smokes were good, the music was banging and boy did we have a fun weekend.
Yes!
We didn’t have to lift a finger in the kitchen either, the temptation was there of course but we had to resist. Isn’t it just amazing how mummy mode thrives on solar power?
The beauty of mum trips are the memories we share, the stronger bonds we build and motivation, its the recharge we need to pull through another year. That’s just how powerful they are.
Now you know why you need to get away, thank us later!
