The Nigerian Gbona hitmaker, BurnBoy was all smiles after he carried the best international Act award in the concluded BETAwards 2019.
He had been nominated alongside his fellow musician, the leg over hitmaker, Mr. Eazi.
In the same category, other nominees were; AKA (South Africa), Aya Nakamura (France), Dave (U.K.), Dosseh (France) and Giggs (U.K.).
Burna was among the five African artistes who made to the BETAwrds2019 nominations.
Other African artistes were; Nigerian Leg over hitmaker, Mr. Eazi, South African, The world is yours hitmaker, Aka, Nigerian Low hitmaker, Burna boy, Nigerian Case hitmaker, Teni and South African Huku hitmaker, Sho Madjozi.
When the announcement of his win was made, his mother, who is also his manager,Bose Ogulu, received the award on his behalf.

She shared a short speech on receiving. She said; “Thank you very much BET, thank you, Africa. That is the constituency for which we got noticed.
The message from Burna would be that every black person should please remember that you were Africans before you became anything else.”
Bose has a tendency of representing his son while being awarded.
This comes after she also represented him on Soundcity awards in early January 2019 where he walked away with four awards.
As usual, she made a speech which was; “Thank you for enthroning talents tonight. Thank you Soundcity.
Burna is out of the country. He asked me to personally be here. I should be asleep by now but I am glad I came.
“Thank you fans who have hung around through thick and thin.”
