Witeithie MCA Julius Macharia who appeared in court on Tuesday has been granted Sh20,000 bail.
The MCA was arrested after being found with images of Deputy President William Ruto in full military regalia on his car. The car also had images of the Coat of Arms and the Kenyan flag drawn on it.
This according to the constitution depicts disregard for the national symbols.
Section 3(a) of the National Flag, Emblems and Names Act bars members of the public from using the Kenyan flag and other government imagery unless given the go-ahead by the Interior ministry.
The MCA further stands to lose the Toyota Hiace vehicle in question if found guilty.

If found guilty, he risks a maximum fine of Sh5,000 that may be accompanied by imprisonment of up to six months.
