Questions have emerged concerning the likely torture and killing of a University student in Nairobi.

This was after the body of a Geospatial Engineering student was found dumped at the Globe Cinema roundabout where police also discovered another student who was also maimed during the attack.

The students are reported to have been attacked at a popular nightclub in Sunday evening before their abduction, torture and dumping at the Globe Cinema roundabout in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Police patrolling the area were alerted by passersby who spotted the two students at the spot. Upon arrival, police confirmed that one of the students who has since been identified as 23-year-old PeterKahugi Maina, was dead.

Police said the student may have been strangled and hit with a blunt object by his killers. However, reports from the club they were in reveal the duo was thrown from the club’s first floor before they were bundled onto the car and tortured.

Police believe the killers may have tortured the victims and thought they were all dead before dumping them at the roundabout.

Reports by witnesses reveal one of the students, 26-year-old James Kilonzo was mumbling at the time police arrived at the crime scene.

He also had visible injuries on his body and police are speaking to him to find leads that may lead to the arrest of the killers.

β€œHe said their attackers thought he and his colleague were dead too before they were dumped there. We are still talking to him for more,” said Nairobi police boss Philip Ndolo.
