Generally, the Kenya Premier League season 2018-19 has been a long journey for Gor Mahia! Concluding it was perhaps the only way to bring reprieve from the frankly tiresome season.
Gor played many matches compared with any other club in the Kenyan Premier League; representing Kenya in the CAF competition, Sportpesa Super Cup and, of course, League matches.
In CAF competitions, K’Ogalo faced a serious tussle; financial inadequacy, sudden change of a coach, cruelty from host nations among others.
The Green Army also failed terribly in the Sportpesa Super Cup when they were bundled out of the competition in the preliminary stages despite being the defending champions.
But all those came and ended! K’Ogalo shifted their focus to the League matches. Perhaps this is where much of their achievements were to come from.
Looking at the statistics, K’Ogalo have had a superb performance in the Kenya Premier League more than any other club.
Out of the 33 matches they have played so far this season, the Green Army have won 21 of them. That’s quite spectacular!
To make it even more interesting, they drew 8 matches, meaning they lost only four matches.
With two games to go and the KPL Trophy in k'Ogalo cabinet for good (they are now 3 since 1968), here are the stats of how we performed this season. #Sirkal pic.twitter.com/QpvT6xL4NC

The spectacular performance paid them off well as they were crowned champions with two matches at hand.
Also, they became the only club in Kenya to ever win a three-peat for the third time.
