A desperate admirer has disappointed many after his decision of killing himself due to heavily invested rejected advances.

21 year old Ben Muli from Kwangwindu village in Kikuyu Central ended his own life on Thursday night after a woman he was interested in rejected his request for a relationship. His lifeless body was found hanging from the roof of his house early Friday.

Muli, a mechanic in Kitui Town, was interested in a twenty-something-year-old woman, who he had been pursuing for a while.

The woman, identified only as Margaret, however rejected his advances on several occasions.

Shortly before killing himself, Muli texted Margaret on phone, saying he would commit suicide if she won’t reciprocate the love he had for her.

Muli further stated, in the SMS, that he had invested a lot of time and resources in wooing Margaret.

Area assistant chief, Joseph Moki, confirmed the incident, saying Muli, who is his cousin, couldn’t stomach the rejection.

On a lighter note on the other hand, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has demonstrated how gentlemen should handle rejection using his own true story although his was a case of misinterpretation.

“I met a hot girl from Embu, fell in love with her and after dating her for a while, decided she could make a good wife” he stated speaking in Kageeri Catholic Church in Mbeere North Sub County.

He humorously recalled that after popping the question, he thought Muthoni had rejected his proposal, little did he know that he had misinterpreted her response.

Apparently, his ex replied in Ki- Embu, ‘Nimbici’, which means ‘I’m aware’ and Kuria thought she was busy and that she had declined the proposal.

“I later came to learn what ‘Nimbici’ means but it was too late. I told her more times that I loved her and thought that she was busy”, he narrated.

He, however, asked Muthoni wherever she was, to forgive him.
