Shocking: Guardiola States Why Man City May Not Win Treble Again

Manchester City’s dream of winning the treble this season came to pass on Saturday when they humiliated Watford with a 6-0 victory to win the FA Cup.

Earlier on, they had won the Carabao Cup. Then they luckily won the Premier League title after an enthralling race with Liverpool, who fell just one point behind them.

This was the first time for an English team to win a treble since 1999 when Sir Alex Ferguson led Manchester United to successfully win a treble of the Champions League, FA Cup, and the Premier League.

The only difference was that United won the Champions League while Man City replaced it with the Carabao Cup.

It was joy and gladness when the Cityzens braced the historical moment.

However, Pep Guardiola warned his players that it will be very difficult to win such a treble, terming it ‘once in a lifetime treble.’

His shocking confession comes when many believe that no team can beat Manchester City as at the moment.

Guardiola had made shocking confessions before and they came to happen as he said. The most notable was his remarks about the Champions League when he said that Manchester City are not ready to win Europe’s most elite competition despite dramatic victory over Schalke.

That happened as he said. Manchester City were bundled out of the Champions League by Tottenham.

Man City should, therefore, do more to avoid the happening of his words.
