Fans can’t keep calm after HBO dropped spoiler pictures for the last-ever episode ahead of the eagerly anticipated season finale of Game of Thrones this Sunday
Unlike previous installments though, the network is being *super* secretive about the final chapter, meaning they’ve only released two images for the upcoming episode but people are going wild all over social media, nonetheless.
Just like the trailer, in the first photo, we see Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke) look out to her Unsullied and Dothraki forces at King’s Landing, as fires and thick plumes of smoke billow throughout the kingdom.
In the previous episode of Game of Thrones, titled The Bells, we saw Daenerys go full “Mad Queen”, using Drogon’s dragon fire to torch Westeros’ capital city, resulting in the deaths of Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) as well as thousands of soldiers and innocent civilians.
The second photo shows Tryion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) looking deeply troubled amidst the rubble as he processes Daenerys’ destruction. In last week’s episode, he pleaded with Daenerys to spare the lives of the citizens of King’s Landing if she heard the bells ringing – but she ignored him and continued her obliteration.
The throne may be unoccupied for now, but it remains to be seen whether Dany will be able to redeem herself and take the crown after slaying thousands of innocent people.
