Kenyans on social media were full of praises for an Administration Police Constable Patrick Mbogo based at Ituru in Gatundu village after photos of him assisting a lost and sick lady emerged online.
The good-hearted constable is said to have helped Fatuma Kahindi a mentally disturbed lady who hails from Voi and had left her home a few months ago to go look for her husband in Nairobi who disappeared many years ago. On arriving at Nairobi, Fatuma claims to have lost all her luggage including her personal documents. It’s not clear how Fatuma found herself in Gatundu South…Ituru village.
When she was spotted there, residents of Ituru village approached APC Patrick Mbogo (pictured above) to try and help the poor girl. It’s then that the good-hearted police officer took the poor girl to Gatundu level five hospital for further treatment and for good hospitality.
Mbogo is said to have further approached the hospital administrator Mr. Kariuki requesting him to host the poor girl until she finds her people. What is amazing is that APC Mbogo and his wife have been visiting Fatuma in the hospital every morning and evening where she has been given a bed by the hospital administrator for the last three weeks giving her hope, clothes and food as she waits to find her people.
The officer is now calling for anybody who might know or can identify the lady to help reach out to her family. Most Kenyans on Facebook expressed their appreciations on the good officer with many calling for the other officers to emulate Mbogo’s good deeds
