Embakasi maternity Hospital is on the lime light following the deplorable condition the hospital is in.
Heavy rains that pounded the city on Wednesday made massive destruction to some of the hospital files and equipment.
Photos going round show a dilapidated ceiling and destroyed files of the hospital that is supposed to offer free 24 hour maternity services.
Patients visiting the hospital say the hospital ceiling is posing a health hazard to them as it might cave in any time.
The Embakasi maternity hospital is under the management of the Nairobi County Government.
This comes days after Kerugoya hospital was on spot over unhygienic state.
Governor Waiguru blamed the awful situation at the hospital on the high number of patients seeking services at the facility despite the limited resources.
“With the recent upgrade of facilities and increased number of health services offered, the Kerugoya County Referral Hospital has witnessed an influx of more patients seeking treatment and has consequently been stretched beyond its capacity, putting pressure on its equipment and human resource capacity,” read the statement in part.
