A Kenyan businessman has mysteriously disappeared after collecting money amounting to Ksh53 million from Ugandans.

Kimani had collected the money, which is approximated to be Ush2 Billion, through his forex company, Arua forex bureau, with the promise that he would get them foreign currencies.

A group of his workers who reported to work on Monday claimed that they waited for him but he did not show up and when they decided to look for him, he claimed that he had travelled to Kenya. Another guard who worked at the premises further revealed that he had seen Kimani leave with a parked bag but was never informed where he was headed.

“The workers came and waited here in vain until after sensing something unusual, they went back home, up to now that’s why the place is still closed,” The Observer quoted the guard. Up to 30 businessmen, some of whom had given Kimani large sums of money as investments, stormed the premises before proceeding to make statements at a police station.

A police officer confirmed that they were collecting statements from the victims and that there was a manhunt for the rogue businessman.
