over a long period of time, National Government Constituency Development Funds have been misused in almost all the 290 constituencies in the country.
Members of parliament who are under the management of the funds have been held accountable, but do they really own up the blames?
Well, Auditor General Edward Ouko in his report has exposed how these funds are wasted.
Ouko’s findings in Kibra, Soy, Samburu East, Tetu, Kangema, Othaya and Mathare constituencies indicate that nothing has changed and wastage of taxpayers’ money continues unabated.
The money is wasted in payment for incomplete work, wasting millions into projects that are later abandoned, intentional disregard of project bill of quantities by contractors and funding suspicious projects that could not be ascertained on the ground.

The report was tabled by National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale on Thursday last week.
