The world has been using the term baby sussex and now the new baby is called Archie. Now scientists have now revealed that in the next six years the name Archie will become the most popular name.

In the study, the researchers compared historic census records, as well as more recent data from the Office of National Statistics.

While Archie is currently the 18th most popular baby name in the UK, the analysis suggests that by 2022, the name could have reached the top 10.

And by 2025, Archie is likely to hit the top spot, thanks to the new royal.

If these predictions are correct, they’d follow a similar pattern to the popularity of other recent royals.

For example, the name George jumped seven places in four years, following the birth of Prince George in 2013, while the name Charlotte jumped 13 places in two years following her birth in 2015.

Russell James, a spokesperson for ancestry.co.uk, said: “It’s amazing to see how much these historic records shine a light on the royal family’s enduring influence on the nation.

“In addition, these findings show how much the royals borrow from their own family history when choosing names for their children, a tradition we’ve seen inspire millions of people globally to explore their own family histories.”
