Late Ivy Wangeci’s Family Shows No Remorse for Killer

The family of slain Moi University student Ivy Wangeci has maintained the accused killer, Mr Naftali Kinuthia be detained even as the court proceedings continue.

Reacting after an Eldoret judge handling the case postponed the hearing to May 27, Wangeci’s family lawyers demanded that he be detained until then and until the courts conclude the case.

Wangeci was alledgedly killed in March by Naftali who had travelled to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital to visit her.

She was to later draw out an axe that he reportedly hacked Wangeci before removing a knife and slitting her throat.

An irate mob would mob Kinuthia but before he was lynched, police intervened and rescued him.

He was admitted at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in bad shape but he had recovered at the time of appearing in court.
