Drama as Man Utd Players ‘Turn On Each Other’ Over Huge Pay Cut

We all look forward to a pay rise, not a pay cut. Nobody wants to earn less. Manchester United’s squad have turned against each other over next season’s pay cut, according to reports.

United’s hopes of securing a Champions League place were dashed after Sunday’s 1-1 draw at relegated Huddersfield.

Isaac Mbenza canceled out Scott McTominay’s first-half opener for United, who twice hit the crossbar through Paul Pogba.

And that defeat is set to hit a number of players in the pocket, according to figures reported by Football Leaks: The Dirty Business of Football on Monday.

United insert clauses into most contracts negotiated at Old Trafford that means players lose 25 percent of their wages if they miss out on Champions League football.

So the likes of Pogba and Alexis Sanchez are set to lose eye-watering sums, with the Chilean’s wages set to be cut from around £500,000-a-week to £375,000-a-week if he stays at the club.

And now the latest report in FourFourTwo claims that the players are far from happy at the drop in wages.

The report adds that individuals have failed to take responsibility for their failings this season and that some players have started to turn on each other in the dressing room.
