What Shocked Everyone During Liverpool, Barcelona Match

Barcelona were left with a lot of regrets after failing to use well the 3-0 advantage they had over Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League at Nou Camp.

Liverpool came to the match with the idea of attacking since they were looking for four goals to go past Barcelona to the finals.

Georginio Wijnaldum scored two quick goals in the second half to pull Liverpool even with Barcelona on aggregate.

The Reds began their attacks at the start of the game and got their first goal at the 7th minute, a goal by Divock Origi.

During the second half, Klopp boys continued with their lethal attacks against the Blaugrana and this resulted to another two goals by the 78th-minute.

What stunned many and has remained mysterious is the late crucial goal by Divock Origi at the 79th-minute after a tricky corner by Alexander-Arnold.

The young Liverpool star who acted like he was not to take the corner then abruptly short the ball, which Origi easily directed to the goal in front of Barca’s defenders.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has since stated during his interview that he cannot explain how the fourth goal came.

On his part, Barcelona’s boss Ernesto Valverde indicated that he doesn’t know how it happened.

🔊 Valverde: “I do not know what happened in the fourth goal. When I watched the ball was already entering. It was a surprising play and it paid off for them.”— BarçaTimes (@BarcaTimes)

Liverpool are now through to the final and will be facing the team that will win between Ajax and Tottenham.
