Are Kenyans really ready for a referendum? You see we have all the recipes we need to stage a revolution against the powers that be.

A huge public debt, corruption even in Huduma Namba registration centres and everyone is complaining about the high cost of living.

All these are captured in a new song dubbed Tumechoka. The song airs the complains of the common Mwananchi yet they have the power to make a difference.

‘Wananchi tunang’ang’ana kila siku tunapambana na tumechoka’

According to the song, greedy politicians only rule because they have divided us. You can watch the video below.

This is remix of a Tumechoka song released in 2016 by artists Sarabi, Mufasa, Tear Drops and Juliani.

Activist Boniface Mwangi was arrested by detectives from his home on Monday and charged with planning a revolution which is likely to cause civil unrest and breach of peace.

Even though he was released a few hours later, Mwangi has insisted that a revolution is not a crime.

“Kenyans are angry, hungry and broke. They feel like revolting against bad governance and corruption, and the government is afraid it’s going to happen. Revolution is not treason.” he said on social media.

Since then, the tag #Tumechoka has been trending on Twitter.
