Three key Leicester players have made a lifetime decision on their stay at the club after giving their best, with two expected to leave the club and one extending his stay by a year.
Leicester City defender Christian Fuchs has signed a new one-year deal, but fellow title winners Danny Simpson and Shinji Okazaki are leaving the club.
The trio were key members of the Leicester side that won the 2015-16 Premier League title.
Full-back Simpson, 32, has made 131 appearances for the club, while Japanese forward Okazaki, 33, has played 135 games and scored 19 goals.
Leicester said the pair would be “forever revered” at the club.
“They depart having left indelible marks in the memories of all Foxes fans thanks to their contribution to the greatest era in Leicester City’s long history,” the club said in a statement.
Simpson and Okazaki, who also played in Leicester’s run to the Champions League quarter-finals in 2016-17, will leave after the Foxes’ last game of the season against Chelsea on Sunday.
The last of Simpson’s five league appearances this season was in January, while Okazaki has made 20 league appearances this term.
Austria international Fuchs, 33, has made 118 appearances for the Foxes since joining on a free transfer after leaving Schalke in July 2015 and his new deal runs until June 2020.
