Kitui County Textile Centre Given okey to make chiefs and sub-chiefs uniforms

The newly Launched Police Uniforms making industry, Kitui County Textile Center, Has been given a go-ahead to make Chiefs and Sub Chiefs uniforms.

The Okey was given during a meeting held between Kitui County Governor Her Excellency Governor Charity Ngilu with the Deputy Inspector of Police (DIG) Mr. Noor Gabow, Administration Police Training College (APTC) uniform Quarter Master, and  APTC’s Master Tailor in the DIG’s Jogoo House office on Friday, May 3, 2019.

The four were finalizing on the order for Kitui County Textile Centre (KICOTEC) to make all the Chief’s and their Sub Chief’s Uniform, whose directives were given by President Uhuru Kenyatta during the launch of Huduma Namba registration at Masii.

Governor Ngilu presented to them sample uniform for the administration officers, and other garments made at the Garment factory.

DIG Noor who was accompanied by  Mr. Bonface Kamau the Uniform Quartermaster and Master Tailor Mr. Omwenga Nyakundi, expressed their utmost satisfaction with the quality of the sample uniform and gave a go-ahead to the rolling out of the production.

The Contract to formalize the presidential order will be signed in the course of next week, which will be a major boost to Governor Ngilu’s two Pillars in her Manifesto of Youth Development and  Wealth Creation and a major win to the great people of Kitui.

This comes a week after the interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Matiang’i lauded the factory and other development projects Governor Ngilu is implementing in the County
