How Maina Kamanda’s in-law was orchestrating a money heist in Sonko’s Government

Nominated MP Maina Kamanda son-in-law Danvas Makori was a slow criminal who was planning to conduct a money heist in the accounts of Nairobi County.

Governor Mike Sonko who kicked him out elaborated on NTV live how he was able to track down the communication of Mr Danvas planning the heist.

Governor Sonko sorted the services of security agencies and services providers who hacked Danvas Communication line.

Information that Sonko gathered claimed that Makori, who had also served during Evans Kidero’s tenure, had been working with the former governor’s Personal Assistant (PA), John Osogo, in a detailed ploy to ransack the county’s accounts.

From the transcript , Sonko read out the messages on live TV:

Osogo advised Makori that the county’s treasury had asked that they try raking in a smaller amount of money from the account to minimise suspicion.

“Good morning Makori, hope the rest of your weekend was good, just saw some officers from the treasury and they said we try a small figure of  Ksh10 million each week and see how that pans out,” Osogo’s stated in his message sent on March 5, 2018.

Four days later, Osogo sent out another text to Makori to tread very carefully as Sonko could be onto them as he had informants all over.

However, Makori was quick to disregard the message and stated that he had his boss under control.

“Don’t worry about my boss, he pretends to be smarter than us but he’s just an academic dwarf,” an excerpt of the former CEC’s text message read.

This lead to the shameful sacking of Danvas Makori who still walking escort free despite all the evidence presented by Governor Mike Sonko.
