SAD! Another Kenyan Footballer’s life claimed in an Accident

The Kenyan football fraternity has suffered yet another a major blow after one of Muhoroni Youths players was killed in a tragic road accident at Rabuor, along Kisumu-Nairobi highway.

Jonathan Juma popularly known as Ottoo Wuod Nyawasi met his death on Monday, at Rabuor area while cycling back to Muhoroni where he has been based currently as he plays for the club. 

Another death is that of former Thika United captain Dennis Lewa last year grisly road accident at Fort Ternan.

Lewa was among the 56 passengers who perished when a Kakamega-bound christened Home Boyz veered off the road while descending a steep slope, ran over a guard rail, rolled and plunged down 20 metres.

Lewa, who had previously featured in national football team, Harambee Stars, was heading to Kakamega to seal a move to Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Kakamega Homeboyz ahead of the new season which kicks off in December.

Lewa joined Thika in January 2017 from National Super League (NSL) side Coast Stima after impressing in trials, the team then under the tutelage of coach James Nandwa.

He had just finished his second season with the relegated side before requesting to be released on mutual consent so as to join the Kakamega-based outfit.
