Sabatia Member of Parliament Hon. Alfred Agoi has called for the Luyha nation to shun away from NASA and in particular, ODM party led by Former prime minister Raila Odinga saying the community had benefited nothing from the coalition.
According to Agoi, NASA has not benefitted Luhyas and hence it should be dissolved. Hon. Agoi, who was elected on an ANC ticket, said that time had come for Luhyas to consider building new alliances that will help the region.
“Time has come for us to destroy NASA and build something else that will help us in 2022. We cannot continue depending on Raila Odinga when he has shown open betrayal to us,” he said
The MP went ahead to state that despite coming up with NASA and inverting other parties, ODM has turned up to be the only beneficiary. He noted that ANC, FK, and WIPER had missed out on recent State appointments while some of Raila’s allies had benefited, which went against the coalition agreement.
“We cannot continue playing second fiddle to other people who only put their interests ahead, yet they want us to sacrifice our ambitions for theirs.” He added
He noted that Mudavadi had supported Raila in two presidential elections, and time was ripe for the Orange Democratic Movement party leader to return the favour.
“Raila should not come back to the Western region and tell us how we should support him again in any election in the near future,” Agoi said.
