There were 4 draws on match-day 28 of the Kenyan Premier League with two of those involving the top two sides on the log. Gor Mahia’s hectic schedule seems to have finally caught up with the players as they served up an inspiring display to draw 0-0 with Western Stima. The result was made worse by Striker Dennis Oliech suffering a season-ending injury after he fractured his arm following a collision with a Stima player.

With Gor Mahia failing to pick up maximum points for the first time in a month, second-placed Sofapaka was given a big chance to close the gap between them and the leaders when they hosted Robert Matano’s Tusker at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

John Baraza’s side were two goals to the good with five minutes to play but Tusker made a memorable comeback and and even the scores with the last kick of the game to share ensure that the spoils were shared. Sofapaka are still 7 points behind K’Ogallo who have played a game less.

AFC Leopard’s winning unbeaten run was brought to an end by Francis Kimanzi’s Mathare United at the Bukhungu Stadium Sunday. Prior to this match, Ingwe was unbeaten in their last 8 matches winning 5 and drawing 3. Their confidence was however not enough to see off a spirited Mathare United who were worthy 2-0 winners.
