Former Sports CS Rashid Echesa seem to not have learnt his lesson even after unceremoniously being shown the door by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Echesa has time and again attacked Opposition Chief Raila Odinga as he has continued to associate him with all his recent troubles and those of the people of Western Kenya.
On Saturday saw Echesa once again try to associate Raila Odinga with the mess at Mumias Sugar, something that did not go well with members of the public. (Watch Video Below)
Echesa had joined mourners at the burial service of the late Hussein Mwanza to condole with the family in KK County.
Known for Politicking anywhere and anytime, Echesa brought up the issue of leasing out of Mumias Company assets and accused Raila Odinga of being involved in the entire process.
This did not go well with the public who boed him with many of them apparently not buying his latest claims.
This is not the first time Echesa is linking Raila to the problems at Mumias Sugar Company.
In 2017, before being appointed a Cabinet Secretary, Echesa demanded that Raila Odinga should pay ‘debt’ he owes the company for molasses his company got from Mumias.
“NASA leaders are to blame for the financial woes affecting Mumias. Raila should be made aware that he owes the company some money and he should pay it,” said Echesa.
“Some leaders hiding in Opposition as financiers contributed to the financial woes affecting Mumias Sugar Company. The Opposition should tell the community why they have kept silent when the company was collapsing,” he added.
Well, it seems like Raila Odinga has got a lot of work to do to convince Echesa that he has nothing to do with the mess at Mumias Sugar Company.
