Did Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa dig her grave even deeper following her embarrassing altercation with ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna?

Aisha’s actions might now be coming back to haunt her with fresh details emerging that her attempts to silence Mr. Sifuna did not bear the desired fruits following an intervention by Mombasa Deputy Governor, Dr. William Kingi, who was laying his father to rest.

It all started when Mr. Sifuna went to address mourners only for Aisha to walk to the podium and grab the mic from him.

The Malindi MP accused him of Politicking during a funeral ceremony.

Well, this sounds funny given that Aisha Jumwa is now a member of the TangaTanga movement, an outfit known to turn Funerals and Church Services into Political battlefields.

That aside, after Aisha grabbed the Mic from Sifuna, he was left staring in disbelief only for Dr Kingi to later invite him to address mourners as he watched at close range.

All this time, Aisha Jumwa stared in shame as her plans to gag Sifuna had apparently failed miserably.

Sifuna gave his words of condolence and that of Raila Odinga who couldn’t make it to the place personally.

Mr Sifuna had introduced himself as the messenger of ODM leader Raila Odinga, who had sent him to convey his message of condolence to the family of the late Edward Benjamin Kingi.

Before being rudely interrupted, Sifuna waded into the ODM Party Politics and asked for respect. He talked about the the ODM constitution and said he did not make the laws, something that apparently angered Aisha Jumwa who is still nursing Expulsion Wounds.

“As a messenger, I request to be given the respect the party leader would have been accorded. I have party responsibilities, and I do them without fear or favour. Sifuna did not make the law, and I am not targeting anybody,” he said.

It is at this point that Ms Jumwa shot up from her seat and confronted Mr Sifuna, stating: “Mr SG, kindly refrain from politics out of respect for the dead. We are not here for ODM politics but to condole with the bereaved.”
