Best moments of Papa Lolo hit maker in his music career

Veteran Congolese musician Mose Fan Fan widely known as “Papa Lolo” has taken his last breath.

The musician collapsed and died at the age of 75 during a recording tour in Nairobi.

Papa Lolo the way his fans used to call him might be dead but his sweet music will still remain.

The master guitarist famously known as ‘Fan Fan’ started playing music when he was sent to boarding school in Kinanga.

While Mose Fan Fan produced several thrilling musics, sweet to the ears, he will be remembered for his one high-riding song ‘Papa Lolo’ that has since sent many frenzy and has been like an anthem for many entertaining places.

In the UK, the Congolese guitar wizard leads the Session Somo Somo Band, an offshoot of the original TP Somo Somo that he formed after leaving Luambo OK Jazz in 1973.

Fanfan is one the few guitarists who were able to adopt Franco’s unique guitar playing style. Franco had a knack for nurturing talent and allowed his protégés such as Fan Fan to learn, flourish and strike out on their own.

The death of fan fan has come at a time when a week later from the death of Legendary Congolese musician Lutumba Ndomanueno Simaro who will be buried in Kinshasa on May 5, with a befitting State send-off planned.

An official announcement by DR Congo government released on Saturday afternoon has put to rest the anxiety over the plans for his funeral, which had been going on in Kinshasa and Paris for the last two weeks.
