” Whereas Mandela ensured that all his comrades had been released before shaking de Klerk’s hand, Raila made sure that the person who administered his oath of office was detained, tortured, sedated and exiled and supporters who were maimed and killed received no justice. “

Miguna was exiled to Canada in February 2018 after he was accused of treason.

He was forced into a KLM flight after refusing to take plea in a Kajiado court for charges related to the mock swearing-in of Raila Odinga as the People’s President.

He was unapologetic about his role at the oath ceremony, even taunting police while admitting he signed Odinga’s oath.

However the general has been fighting for his return which the court ruled he was elible to return back to Kenya as he is a Kenyan citizen.
