Controversial Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu was on Thursday morning grilled by the Senate Committee to answer glaring audit inconsistencies that has dogged his county.

Of key concern is that Kiambu County has pending bills worth 2 billion shillings.

Waititu’s administration has reportedly set aside 181 million and 800 million for for Free Primary Education. Is this a function of county governments really?

What’s more shocking is that the Kiambu County Gov’t allocates Sh500m to support peace process in South Sudan, Sh900m for State House functions and Sh180m for emoluments for retired Presidents.
