Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku ‘does not know’ whether he will feature for the club next season.
The Belgian international has been linked with a transfer away from the club and did little to quell the speculations when asked the question on Sunday evening.
Lukaku struggled for game time under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but has finally forced his way into the starting lineup in recent matches.
He played the full 90 minutes on Sunday at home during their English Premier League match against Chelsea, and put in a decent performance including playing in Luke Shaw for their goal.
Ealy this month, Lukaku’s agent Federico Pastorello claimed his client might explore other options abroad, with rumours linking the former Anderlecht man to Italy.
“He sees a way to have a career playing in different countries because he would like to win some trophies and prove himself and say to his children: ‘I won there and I won there and I won there’ and ‘I was a very good player in all the top championships’,” Pastorello said.
Ole Gunnar has big decisions to make at the end of the season, with key players in goalkeeper David De Gea, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and the Belgian angling for moves away from the club.
