I always put up with shit that I should not have because I believed that if I cared enough, the lady would come through.
She would see my effort and decide to chip in and offer something of substance for a change. It almost never happened. I got my hopes crushed more times than I’d like to admit, and quite frankly, I am half to blame. And that is my whole point here.
When the lady keeps proving to you how little she cares and how little she is willing to offer, and you still decide to make excuses for her, you are enabling that toxic behaviour in her.
You are worthy of someone who will love you every hour of the day, and not just when it suits her. You are worthy of someone who you will text first and make plans for because you want to see them, and they will accept not because she feels he has to, but she actually wants to see you and know you more.
You are worthy of someone who will appreciate your effort too much to take it so lightly. Don’t let your fear of loneliness make you choose the wrong lady.
