Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa has come out defending Deputy President William Ruto following the backlash he has been facing for 2022 succession.
While speaking during a fundraising drive in Tugoin in Ms Jumwa said that the DP Ruto team will not be shaken nor frightened by their haters no matter What.
“WQe have made a decision to support the DP, whether they call him thief our support will not be moved” Said Ms Jumwa
The vocal MP was accompanied by other leaders allied to the deputy president including Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Boni Khalwale among others.
Their political stand comes when the church politics debate is at the top notch with other politicians backing the church leaders taking politics to church in form of funds drive activities.
DP Ruto has been backlashed over his numerous donations to church where he has been accussed of donating money from corruption deals following the recent scandals that got his name dragged into the matter.
However he has denied any affiliation with the corruption scandal daring those convinced to report the matter to the DCI for investigation.
