Influential female artiste Akothee has explained why she has no plans of opening a record label.
The Singer says that musicians are the most indiscipline and disrespectful people and probably means would be difficult to handle/manage.
Akothee linked her argument to Bahati’s incident and how EMB record label artistes bad-mouthed him after their exit.
The female artist says that even after people being taken in and pushed towards growth they shamelessly expose the dirty side and fail to acknowledge the good that was done to them.
Akothee insists that the musicians who keep complaining and have the ungrateful attitude are the ones responsible for pulling the Kenyan music industry behind.
She also emphasized on her reasons why she is rarely open for a collabo with Kenyan artistes.
Akothee mentioned that some of the artists like involving themselves in petty scandals and she never wants to be part of it
Despite not opening a record label Akothee gives her support to other artistes when required.
The Singer is currently mentoring Ziki Mtanah who she signed a deal with to support.
Akothee ushered in the coast based singer in a collabo song dubbed ‘Basi’.
