Sony Sugar travel to Bukhungu Stadium, Kakamega to face Western Stima who sit 11th on the table with 30 points from 24 matches.
Stima have not won any of their last 11 games , drawing 7 times and losing the other four times.
With the not so impressive results, their head coach Paul Ogai stepped down paving the way for former former Sony Sugar tactician Salim Babu has been named the new coach.
Ogai engineered the team’s return to the top-flight last season after taking over from Ugandan Richard Makumbi nine months ago.
Speaking about his resignation, the coach said; “Yes, I have resigned as Western Stima coach, I presented my resignation letter on Wednesday. Recent results have not been favouring us, but the main reason why I walked away was the off-pitch issues,”
He went on to wish the team the best of luck in their upcoming fixtures: “I wish the team all the best in the remaining matches and I hope they can finish in a respectable position on the log.”
Sony Sugar on the other hand have won three of the last five games against Mathare United, Posta Rangers and Bandari FC.
In these five matches, Sony Sugar have been able to find the back of the net atleast 2 times in every game; even the lost matches to Ulinzi Stars and leaders Gor Mahia.
With all that is going on at Bukhungu Stadium and the appointment of former Sony Sugar tactician as their head coach promises nothing but fun.
