Ugandan musician-cum-politician Bobi Wine has released a song two days after his arrest.
The song aims at informing the police on not being used by the government to fight their fellow citizens.
Bobi Wine came into the political realm in 2017 after winning the Kyadondo parliamentary seat and things have never been good for him under Museveni’s government.
The legendary East African musician has been facing rough moments since his formation of People’s power party.
Last year he was tortured by police for launching a ‘protest’ .
The second #FreeBobiWine was seen at the wake of Easter Monday after he was barred from performing in a concert.
He was placed under house arrest and even had to celebrate son’s birthday without a ‘decent’ cake.
On Thursday, he sneaked out of his heavily guarded house to attend a burial ceremony of an elder.
His new song is called Afande. It advocates for caution in armed forces over violation of human rights.
He advises the police not to use force when administering law and order because they are human too.
He said “I am not fighting you, but I am fighting for you”.
Hope our Ugandan brothers and sisters will get the message;
