Police believed to be acting on a tip-off have intercepted a government vehicle and recovered Cash, several US Dollars with united nations stamp and other items. According to police sources, the detectives had earlier been tracing the vehicle on suspicion of having Fake registration numbers.
Inside the vehicle was two Kiambu county officials, Kiambu Chief Finance Officer Faith Njeri who claimed to be on secondment from National Treasury to County govt of Kiambu and Mr Kungu who claimed to be an employee of Kiambu County.
Further investigations and document recovered from the two showed different registration from the vehicle’s plates. The two suspects both denied that they owned the Cash that was found in the vehicle. Further investigations are ongoing according to police sources.
