The flopped William Ruto’s visit to meet retired President Daniel arap Moi to condole with him on Tuesday afternoon was a set up by uncouth leaders who wanted to embarrass the deputy president, Oscar Sudi has said.

Ruto allegedly found himself stranded at Moi’s Kabarak home in Nakuru on Tuesday, 23rd April after he was made to wait for hours to meet the former Head of State in vain. He however, decided to visit the family of Jonathan Moi the following day.

Kanu Secretary-general Nick Salat has for the first time spoken out on the feud between his party’s chairman Gideon Moi and Deputy President William Ruto.

Salat alleged that DP Ruto is responsible for the bad blood, having uttered some insults against the former first family.

The Kanu official conveyed that the Senator is ready for reconciliation if the condition is met.

“OUR CHAIRMAN, WHO IS THE BARINGO SENATOR, IS READY FOR ANY PEACE TALKS WITH DP RUTO BUT THE ELDERS WHO HAVE SHOWN THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO MEDIATE BETWEEN THE DUO MUST UNDERSTAND THE GENESIS OF THE RIFT. DP RUTO SHOULD ASK FOR FORGIVENESS FROM THE FAMILY OF THE FORMER PRESIDENT BECAUSE HE IS THE ONE WHO HAS BEEN SAYING UNPALATABLE THINGS ABOUT THEM”

Salat stated that the idea of settling scores is welcome, however, he clarified that it would not deter the red cock party from participating in the 2022 presidential race.
