Man demands his details erased from Huduma Namba claiming it’s ‘satanic’

National Integrated Identity Management System(NIIMS) satanic claims continues to trend even after the head of state dismissed those allegation.

A middle-aged man has confronted Huduma Namba registration officials in Dagoretti, Nairobi, demanding to be deregistered from NIIMS.

The man who claimed to be among the first to be registered when the exercise was rolled out nationally said he was out of his senses when he went for it.

He said that his mind is now fresh and wants his details erased from the system terming the Huduma Namba ‘satanic’.

“When I was registered I never knew this Huduma Namba is this satanic,” he said.

Explaining his new decision, the man said he received a vision showing him how those who had registered were seriously suffering.

Officers at the center had it rough with the charged man and it took intervention of members of the public to calm him down.

The incident comes as the exercise enters its fourth week since it was launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta in Machakos county.

The government through Executive Order No.1 of (2018), and The State Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 2018, Sec. 9A established the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS) programme, code-named Huduma Namba.

.NIIMS will establish a central master population register that will be the authentic ‘single source of truth’ on a person’s identity.

Among the key functions of NIIMS is to create, maintain and operate a national population register as a single source of personal information of all Kenya citizens and foreigners residing in the country.

The Interior Ministry is conducting the nationwide mass biometric registration drive that is scheduled to run for 45 days.
