Bobi Wine has celebrated 9-year-old sons’s birthday under house arrest following his unsuccessful Easter fest show.
The Kyandondo East lawmaker has been facing rough time in his political career since 2017 when he won the Member of Parliament.
From being tortured last year to the extent of seeking medication abroad to being held under house arrest, it is proof that he is a force to reckon in Uganda’s national politics.
After his arrest on Monday, was then taken back to his home in Magere where he has been held under house arrest since then.
He has not been allowed to leave his premises despite several attempts of trying to understand why he is not allowed the freedom to roam like any other Ugandan citizen.
Police claimed that after his arrest, Bobi called for a presser at which he revealed his intentions to hold a demonstration in the city on Tuesday and hence they were preventing him from going ahead with his plans.
While under house arrest, Bobi Wine together with Nubian Li celebrated Shadrack Shilling Mbogo Kyagulanyi’s 9th birthday.
His wife, Barbara was also agitated having to celebrate son’s birthday indoors and with the difficulty of having a cake.
On this your 9th birthday son, we wish you wisdom, a long healthy life and peace that superceeds human understanding. Iam glad I managed to deliver your cake. You said ” I didnt think you would make it” I smiled in response because I actually almost didn’t make it past our gate. Your father was not able to come to school to cut that cake with you and your friends as you asked because you know the people who almost refused you to go to school in the morning did not allow him to leave the compound today.
