Years after working with R Kelly, Kenyan Gospel Artist Amani has shared on the experience she had and how it marked a major milestone in her music career.
Speaking during an interview, Amani says that she got the opportunity to work with him after she was named the Airtel brand ambassador.
This ambassadorial role pushed her to work with top artists across Africa and American star R Kelly.
“My experience in doing hands across the world with R Kelly was a professional experience. Going to Chicago and meeting him in studio, I knew he had a studio called the chocolate factory and that is where I expected to record only to end up in a different studio in Chicago town and everything looked so corporate “
Amani says that she got to know that the Chocolate factory studio was just R Kelly’s home studio and the other one was his professional studio.
The Gospel Singer says that the first meet up with the American star was professional and she never got to interact with him one on one.
Amani clarified on the interaction in relation to the ongoing scandals and sexual assault charges that he has been accused of.
During the studio sessions, Amani record with the engineers ans producers while R Kelly was teaming up with Fally Ipupa.
Amani also added that their song did well and was well received by fans and equally met the purpose and objectives it was meant for.
