Amani opens up about her insecurities as a teenager

Gospel Artist Amani has shared on her insecurities as a teenager. The Singer who is also an entrepreneur opened up saying that her insecurities taught her one of her biggest life lessons.

Amani believes that a woman goes through different stages in her life depending on how young or old she is.

Speaking during an interview, Amani mentioned that there was a lot of pressure as a teenager to fit in and want to be like everyone else.

Amani says that one of the things that made her feel different is her natural lip colour.

“Everytime I wore lipgloss regardless of the colour, it looked different”she said

Amani says that through her insecurities, she learnt that it was important to be comfortable in her own skin and just be herself.

She later on accepted herself and developed confidence in her own skin.

In her twenties, Amani says that this was the age that came with a roller-coaster and mainly in relationship issues.

Amani revealed that she learnt to avoid getting into unhealthy and undefined relationship yet she always found herself jumping into one.

The gospel singer has seen herself through a transition over the years and she says that the woman she was as a teenager compared to her now is so different.

Amani says that he priorities changed and she always wanted to do better.

She also recalls a time when she wanted to quit from the music industry but this saw her entry in the gospel industry.
