Huduma Namba registration has been well received by a number of Kenyans according to the report released by President Uhuru Kenyatta on his Easter Message.
Although its first phase was received with a lot of opposition most Kenyans are boarding into the idea of getting themselves registered in the new age of storing information.
According to President Uhuru Kenyatta 11 Million Kenyans have acquired Huduma Namba:
” In just 16 days of active registration, I am proud to announce that an impressive 11 million people have registered for their Huduma Namba,” stated President Uhuru.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed how Huduma Namba is ending the era of confusion in arrangement of data:
“HudumaNamba is Kenya’s first digital integrated record of citizen data which gives the Government a robust platform to deliver first class service,” Said Uhuru.
“It moves the country from a manual, scattered and cumbersome data management regime to an organised digital service delivery platform,” added President Uhuru .
The President has also assured the safety of the data that the government is acquiring through Huduma Namba registration:
” I assure Kenyans and all people residing in our beautiful country that we are taking additional measures to ensure the information they give is safe. Yesterday, the Cabinet approved a progressive draft Data Protection Policy and Bill,” Uhuru insisted.
