Is William Ruto the most corrupt individual in the Country? Is he really the Chief Priest of corruption as many leaders want us to believe?
Well, Ruto has been caught up in a number of coruption scandals ranging from the Weston Hotel Saga, the maize scandal, the hustlers jet scandal etc.
His close allies have also been mentioned in a number of corruption scandals with this all but tainting Ruto’s already tainted image.
Despite all the allegations against him, Ruto has insisted that he has a clean record and as such, he is ready to take over from President Kenyatta come 2022 as the Country’s head of state.
His Presidential bid has however faced a number of challenges with a number of leaders both from Jubilee and the Opposition arguing that Ruto is not fit to lead the Nation because of the many integrity issues he is currently facing.
Over the weekend in Lamu, COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli said that Ruto’s name will not even be on the ballot to start with and as such, his supporters should shift their support elsewhere.
MPs allied to Raila Odinga have also taunted Ruto’s bid with many of them claiming that with Ruto as the head of state, Kenya is headed for more and more destruction.
Yesterday, East African Legislative Assembly MP Oburu Oginga told Ruto to forget about the 2022 presidency as his integrity was in question.
Oburu claimed that DP’s graft graph has reached its optimum and he had slim chances of capturing the presidential seat in free and fair elections.
“Let us not cheat ourselves, the DP and his allies who have been implicated in courts are not trusted anymore with public offices and electing Ruto in 2022 will put Kenya in more debts since more resources are likely to be swindled.” he said.
