Game of thrones first episode in the season finale is all sorts of mind blowing! It kicks off with a bang, leaving nothing to chance just how we like it.
Remember last season when Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen had passionate sex and we all saw Jon’s butt? And it was all super hot, and sexy, and inspired a bunch of questionable fan-fiction? Buuuuut also super incestual because, lol, Jon and Dany are fully related (he’s her nephew—it’s not fine)? Yeah, about that.
The premiere of Game of Thrones ended with Jon awkwardly finding out that his lover is his blood relative thanks to poor Sam Tarly telling him the news during an awkward conversation that went like this:
Sam: “Your mother was Lyanna Stark. Your father…your real father was Rhaegar Targaryen. You’ve never ben a bastard, you’re Aegon Targaryen, true heir to the Iron Throne. I’m sorry I know it’s a lot to take in.”
Jon: “My father was the most honorable man I’ve ever met. You’re saying he lied to me all my life?”
Sam: “Your father, Ned Stark, he promised your mother he’d always protect you. And he did. Robert would have murdered you if he knew. You’re the true king.”
And naturally the internet has a lot of (semi hysterical) feelings and everyone has lost the small amount of chill they had to begin with:
